TV and Branded Content Producer
Aaron Sagers is a divergent storyteller who has excelled as a producer for television, and online video. He has crafted engaging narratives for audiences, and created authentic brand stories that both entertain and inform.
Sagers scripted and executed digital-first videos, and editorial content, to reach shared goals of brand partners Netflix, Disney (Star Wars and Marvel), HBO, Amazon Prime Video, Twilight Zone, eBay, and Funko. He recently created, and produces the video and podcast interview show Talking Strange for the Den of Geek Network, and co-created, scripted and produced the branded content series Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Ripley’s Road Trip.
As a contracted show writer for Walt Disney Entertainment, Sagers ideated and wrote drafts, and final treatments, of 11 original Concept Treatments. He developed and fully scripted one 30-minute, immersive and interactive narrative targeting guests, complete with practical and special effects, props, 10 supplemental print items, and three supplemental video components.
Sagers served as as a Senior Manager of Creative with Fandom (with a global audience of more than 180 million monthly uniques) where he brainstormed creative concepts to tell the brand stories of partners, and execute those stories by producing video and editorial content. Sagers worked with brand partners such as Disney, NFL, NBA, and Blizzard Entertainment. He produced and directed on-location video shoots for clients Coca-Cola, and Facebook. He created and scripted narrative for multimedia campaigns that included fiction-based microsites, videos, social media videos, Twitch streams, and a live activation for clients such as Square Enix’s Marvel’s Avengers video game and the FDA. Sagers also cast and vetted brand-safe talent, including hosts, actors, and influencers for on-location shoots (e.g. BlizzCon).
He co-created and co-executive produced the Travel Channel news & lifestyle series, Paranormal Paparazzi. He plotted eight 30-minute episodes, with both in-studio, and field produced segments, as well as auditioned, and cast six on-camera talent. Sagers likewise developed and executive produced unscripted pilots for EQ Media, ComiConverge TV, MyEntertainment, 3 Ball Entertainment, Groff Entertainment, and Bray Entertainment. As executive producer with Centerboro Productions, he originated, and conceptualized 15 series pitches to TV networks and streaming digital platforms Netflix, A&E, SYFY, Food Network, YouTube. Additionally, Sagers plotted 30-minute 12-episode arcs for five productions upon network requests; led pitch meetings with network executives to secure series greenlight; produced, edited sizzle reels for network presentations.
Within his role as producer and Editor At Large with the NBCUniversal Media brand Syfy — a role created specifically for him — Sagers conceived and executed more than two dozen digital videos for Syfy.com; produced and hosted on-air interstitial content on Syfy network; created, scripted, produced original video series (Blastr to the Past, Science of Fear, Comic Book Roulette); led execution of video coverage at fan events (Dragon Con); produced live-to-tape segments with Alamo Drafthouse for RoboCop, and The Evil Dead anniversary events. He also co-created, developed and co-hosted the weekly Syfy Who Won The Week entertainment podcast.
